I was considering merely getting some workouts with the weights and doing a few cardio workouts. If you are here, I would not be opposed to a sparring match.

[Fumikage brings his hands up, looking over them briefly.]

Normally, I would rely on Dark Shadow to help augment the gaps in my own physical strength. However, given how this world has dampened our strength, I think it would be wise to strengthen my body's physical powers as well. In case I'm not able to call upon Dark Shadow.

A spar will improve your technique but not your strength. I don't disagree with that idea and you'll need both of you want to make use of your own body in the event you can't access your--Quirk, wasn't it? But you'll still need to do other exercises to build physical strength.

There's a line of rooms down the gym with padded mats we can use. How much experience in hand-to-hand combat do you have?

[Fumikage listens attentively, and nods along as he does. It's clear this guy knows what he's talking about, and he's not one to ignore advice from mentors. He looks down at the padded area mentioned, before looking back at Alhaitham.]

I have some experience. But again, much of it was augmented by Dark Shadow's power. As for without... not as much.

So you're not used to using your fists against someone stronger and actually winning. Is that right? [That's probably pretty common for anyone not practicing it specifically.] Then this will probably end the same. Hopefully you're attentive, as it'll be easier to see your errors to improve upon them.

[Alhaitham may be using some harsh words, but aside from a frown Fumikage doesn't speak against him. Right now, the man is being a mentor, and as such Fumikage wants to listen and learn what Alhaitham can teach him. So he nods to Alhaitham and begins to head to the area Alhaitham gestured to.]

Very well. And please, do not hold back for my sake. If I am to learn, I should do so fully.

Well, I'm not going to try and break your nose. [They have like, one doctor.] We'll do first to the ground. That's a difficult position to get out of in a real fight.

All right. [Alhaitham adjusts his stance, considering Fumikage for a second before he lunges to take the first offensive. His aim is a strike to Fumikage's side. It's a relatively obvious and easy move. A test.]
